With the release of the SRT-4, Dodge began cranking out wave after wave of Mopar performance parts designed to be easy upgrades to make serious power without the cost and hassle of tuning. These were essentially extensions of the car, created by the original engineers, and made to work, plain and simple. A list of some of these upgrades is below..
Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade- Consisted of a new PCM and injectors. Bumped up the power output to 240hp/260tq, and eliminated some hassles for those who wanted to control their own boost. This package is popular with those who want to do some of their own tuning but don't want to deal with check engine lights being eternally lit.
Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade- This package includes a PCM, injectors, MAP and TIP sensors, and an upgraded wastegate actuator. Optionally, you can get the "turbo toys" which consists of a boost controller, high octane switch, and intercooler sprayer. Power output for Mopar Stage 2 is 265hp/280tq, or 280/300 in high octane mode(HOM).
Stage 3 Turbo Upgrade- The package to create the uber SRT-4, this includes Stage 3 PCM, TD05HR-15GK2-10cm2 turbo unit, High-Flow (75 psi) fuel pump module, Demand-regulated fuel rail assembly, as well as the components off Stage 2. Mopar Stage 3 will bump the SRT-4 to 300hp/300tq.
